The spirit of pioneering
New technologies require people who launch them throughout the world. The core team of e-volo has focused on this objective.
In our team everyone works ambitiously, firm in the belief that they are preparing the way for a pioneering aircraft.
What began as a vision in 2010 is now being transformed into reality by an interdisciplinary team:
Co-Founder & Managing Director
After studying civil engineering at the University of Karlsruhe he was Vice President of Innovation at the Swiss corporation Biometry.Com AG, among other things. He is now applying his profound expertise as a successful serial entrepreneur on behalf of the Volocopter. He conceived the VC200 and developed its design. As a paraglider and gyrocopter pilot he lives out his passion for flying that constantly motivates him to consider new developments.
Co-Founder & Managing Director
As a software developer specializing in networks he designed the central nervous system of the Volocopter. His idealism in broadening our technical horizons advanced the development of the Volocopter to a key extent. His work for Siemens in the field of industrial automation over a period of many years and multiple awards as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional just represent a few milestones in his career.
Managing Director, Strategy & Finance
With a degree in industrial engineering, he worked several years as a strategy consultant in various countries. In his role as a venture manager at Siemens AG Munich, he was responsible for the creation and oversight of technology start-ups. This expertise and his international experience provide him with the necessary farsightedness to put finances and innovative ideas on the right track.
Shareholder, Technology Investor
He can lay claim to 30 years of experience as a founder, entrepreneur, VP and business angel in the semiconductor, computer and network industry. As such he offered the best prerequisites to develop the intelligent data network of the Volocopter together with Stephan Wolf.
Shareholder, Volocopter test pilot
Stefan Klocke is a co-owner of the international Klocke group and founder of the NANO 4U group which develops advanced technology in the field of counterfeit protection. e-volo particularly profits in the sales and strategy divisions from his extensive experience managing medium-sized and large corporations. In addition Stefan Klocke is a passionate helicopter pilot and consequently one of the VC200 test pilots.

Senior Systems Engineer
The experienced software developer already cooperated with the e-volo team on the development of the Volocopter as a member of our research partner IAF from 2013 until the end of 2015. In the course of his dissertation he performed research in the field of multi-sensor fusion for object geo-referencing among other things. He is our specialist in the field of navigation technology and autonomous systems.
Engineer Aircraft Structure & Certification
The seizing upon and conversion of new developments comes as a matter of course for the aerospace engineer who graduated at the University of Stuttgart. In his master thesis on "camera-based collision avoidance for multicopters" he developed a pilot assistance system for the detection of collisions of persons and the subsequent automatic performance of evasive maneuvers. He ensures that the Volocopter will also continue to be ahead of its time.
